What counts as news here
A new official guidance document, published judgment, material docket event or statistical release can qualify. A vendor announcement is labelled as such and does not prove deployment, effectiveness or court approval. Search popularity alone is not evidence that an event occurred.
Corrections and updates
Every item carries a visible review date. When an appeal or amended order changes a case, the case note should preserve the earlier procedural description and add the later status. We do not rewrite an allegation as fact after the headline has travelled.
